Integrating clinical care with rehabilitation and performance training is the most effective way to return safely from injury and reduce injury risk. That means medical professionals and performance coaches, like ISSC, need to communicate throughout the recovery process. Unfortunately, this much needed communication rarely occurs at the high school and club sports level.
Our Clinical affiliations with Active Chiropractic Care of Commack, ROM Physical Therapy of East Northport and Metro Physical Therapy of Commack enable us to deliver a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation and performance training to our clients.
With these clinical partners in place, we can offer our clients co-management of injury recovery by integrating clinical and training rehabilitation protocols resulting in more effective recovery. These affiliations enable us to provide the same type of comprehensive ‘Return-to-Competition” training and rehabilitation that is available at collegiate sports programs.
With Dr. Ackerman on board, we can offer our athletes comprehensive screening and assessment of spine and pelvic positions. Also, we are now in a position to more effectively address and help the growing number of young athletes and adults with back issues. Dr. Ackerman provides advanced diagnostics and comprehensive care to his patients and we are excited to be affiliated with his clinic.
Proper pelvic and spinal alignment is critically important to athletic performance and injury risk reduction. That’s why our training programs prioritize the need for appropriate spine and pelvic position as the starting point for injury risk reduction and improved athletic performance.
The effectiveness of the Reflexive Performance Reset techniques we use to activate and improve motor patterns is enhanced with chiropractic techniques that improve spine and hip position. So the Active Chiropractic Care affiliation is a big step toward enhancing our programming.
With these trusted clinical partners in place, I’m confident that we have a team that can deliver rehabilitation and performance training in a way that has not been provided to local athletes.
